1. What did you do this past week?

This past week I worked with my group of refactoring the website for the last phase. We made the code cleaner and more efficient as well as fixed a couple of minor issues and bugs that we had left on the board. Basically finished up the site.

2. What’s in your way?

We just have to make the presentation for the site and record a video of us doing so. We are presenting in class on Friday so looking forward to that.

3. What will you do next week?

This coming week I have two tests and lots of work for my other classes so I’ll just be working on that mainly. As far as SWE goes I just have to do my part of the presentation and I’ll be good.

4. If you read it, what did you think of the The Joel Test?

I thought it was a good read. Really underscored the importance of maintaining good habits with source control and staying on top of debugging and testing. I like how he used real-world examples to describe these topics as well.

5. What was your experience of Replace Type Code with State/Strategy (227)? (this question will vary, week to week)

I enjoyed the experience. I thought it was a very crucial skill to have and it’s something that’s often overlooked I feel.

6. What made you happy this week?

This week I’ve been better at staying focused and getting work done so that. was nice. I’ve been stuggling with lack of productivity recently.

7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick-of-the-week for this week is LeetCode. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to interview prep or just get better at coding. Very useful as they have thousands of problems.
