CS371p Fall 2020: Pranay Kalagara

What did you do this past week?

This past week I finished the thrid oop project and continued to study for tests I had Wednesday through Friday. As far as those tests go, I had to study for the oop test as well and was able to do that succesfully. The test wasn’t too bad and I feel like I did relatively well on it so I’m satisfied with that. The last thing I did over the weekend was just relax and play some video games.

What’s in your way?

There’s not much in my way. I just have to grind for some interviws and make sure I do a better job of managing my time. I feel like I end up wasting a lot of time for no reason.

What will you do next week?

Next week I’ll hopefully finish up some interviews succesfully and maybe even wrap up recruiting if I’m lucky. I also have another test next week which I’ll have to study for and I’ll also need to start working on the next oop project whenevr that’s assgined.

What was your experience of Test #1

I think test #1 was a decent experience. Although I didn’t really appreciate that it occurred over the course of two days. I agree that taking it over 2 days is better than 3 hours all at once but stretching it out seemed a little odd to me as well. Other than that I thought the test went well.

What made you happy this week?

I got to talk to some friends and really relax over the weekend. Maybe a little too much because I didn’t end up doing a lot of work but it is what is haha.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick-of-the-week is about Docker actually. I never really used it even for this class but looked into recently and it was very useful in that it provides you all the tools you will need to complete a task. Most of you probably already know about it and how to use it especially because of this class but in case you don’t I hope you gained something.
