CS373 Spring 2021 Blog #11: Pranay Kalagara

What did you do this past week?

This past week I had to leave town unexpectedly so I missed some class and things. I spent most of my time cathcing up on work and finishing up phase III with my teammates.

What’s in your way?

We’re almost at the end of the semester so that means tests and finals are coming up. I need to study hard for these next couple weeks so I can finish off the semester on a good note.

What will you do next week?

I have a lot of work coming up for my other classes so I will be doing that as well as working on phase IV with my team. It seems like this next phase won’t be as time consuming as the previous so I’m looking forward to it since I have to do more for other classes.

If you read it, what did you think of the More getters and setters?

I thought it went over a good concept especially because I’ve found myself using getters and setters in my code a lot. It’s something I’ll be looking to improve upon when I code in the future.

What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have not had much experience with SQL in the past but I found it to be relatively easy to pick up. I find this section to be more straightforward than the python things we had done.

What made you happy this week?

I got outside a lot more this week than I have in past weeks so that was really nice since the weather was great and I could play some sports!

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I’d recommend looking at your screen time on your devices and being conscious how much time you spend on them. Mine shocked me!
