What did you do this past week?

This past week I had 2 tests I had to study pretty hard for. As far as SWE goes I also ended up finishing the Collatz project and submitting that on time. I enjoyed class this week because I feel we learned a lot of useful stuff about python.

What’s in your way?

Currently, there’s not a whole lot besided studying for my last test this week and also staying warm during this storm!

What will you do next week?

Next week, I hope to meet my team and get started on project 1. I’m looking forward to see what these projects entail and how I can learn from them. I also hope to destress a little after two pretty stressful weeks.

If you read it, what did you think of the Pair Programming?

I’ve read this paper before for different classes, but I still found it to be a good refresher of core concepts and goals for when you are coding with another person or persons. It doesn’t seem like something that is super in depth but there are a lot of aspects to it can make your work more efficient and effective.

What was your experience of types? (this question will vary, week to week)

This is my first time learning python, so learning about all the data structures and their properties was pretty enlightening and interesting. I expected everything to be pretty similar to Java so to see some of the slight differences was pretty cool.

What made you happy this week?

Seeing the snow! Living in Texas all my life I think I’ve become acustomed to being excited everytime I see it falling.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick-of-the-week is using Leetcode. It’s a great platform for interview prep and I’ve been using it to get myself ready. Lots of potential interview questions are on there and you can search by company or topic
